Damon Albarn: London 2012 gig 'not full time thing'
The band, who briefly reformed in 2009, play London Hyde Park on August 12th in a special Olympic Closing Ceremony Celebration show.
In an interview with Thequietus.com, Albarn distanced himself from this summer's live appearances.
"I don't really do anything with Blur any more - there's this concert this year but it's not a full time thing at all," he said.
The Hyde Park concert is billed as the "Best of British", with support coming from The Specials and New Order.
Of Under the Westway, the new song the band debuted last month, Albarn said: "Maybe this tune's a last little coda to the whole story."
Blur made their return to music when they closed this year's Brit Awards.
After picking up the Outstanding Contribution To Music award the Song 2 legends belted out a five-song set with typical panache.
