DJ Fresh Helps Musicians Create Music With Their Mind
The project, known as "Mindtunes", was run in partnership with Smirnoff and the Queen Elizabeth's Foundation for disabled people who will be receiving all proceeds from the download of the track.
Julien Castet, an expert in neurotechnology, was hired to develop the technology needed to turn emotion into brain waves, and those brain waves into sound waves.
Produced by DJ Fresh, the track is two and a half minutes long and took seven days to complete.
The DJ commented, "Ever since I was a little boy I've loved technology and always wanted to work with something cutting edge. What a privilege to be given the opportunity to do just that and collaborate with some truly inspirational people. The power of the brain and this brainwave technology is amazing."
The technology used to make this track is known as Emotiv EPOC technology and could lead to many more advancements in the future of music.
