Craftsman builds Dave Grohl an electric guitar
Rob Stammers, who comes from a background of crafting woodwind instruments, was listening to the latest album from the Foo Fighters when all of a sudden he was inspired to make a new guitar, reported Hornsby and Upper North Shore Advocate.
In particular, it was the track Rope that had a massive effect on the craftsman.
Speaking to the news provider, Mr Stammers said: "I loved the way they recorded the guitar on the whole album, so I was motivated to try to build a guitar inspired by that, to create something really different."
Now that the black electric guitar has been expertly crafted with precision, care and absolute skill, Mr Stammers will present it as a gift to the Foo Fighter’s frontman Dave Grohl.
The former Nirvana superstar has recently returned to his drumming roots by stepping in as a temporary drummer in the band Cage the Elephant.
Their drummer Jared Champion burst his appendix, ruling him out for a number of weeks.
