It's not the kind of thing you expect, regardless of whether you're in a charity shop or not, but a woman from Letterkenny, Co Donegal, Ireland, who spent €400 (approximately £352) on a broken [piano](http://www.gear4music.com/Keyboard-Piano.html), was told she wouldn't be able to get a refund. Denise O'Boyle bought the 85-year-old piano for her daughter from the Good and New charity shop under the impression that it was in relatively good working order, reported the Independent.ie. However, when it came to fixing up the piano, Ms Boyle was alarmed to find out it wasn't what she had expected it to be. Speaking to the online news provider she said: "The piano [tuner](http://www.gear4music.com/Accessories/Tuners_and_Metronomes.html) told me the keys were broken and it was rusty and that it couldn't be tuned. He told me it wasn't much good and it was only worth about €50." The case has now come to court, with the defendant claiming that a "long time" had elapsed between the date of purchase (January) and the actual complaint being made (June). Judge Paul Kelly said: "I think the shop might like to reconsider the matter." The case has been adjourned until October 3rd. Elsewhere in the piano world, a precious young piano player called Ethan Bortnick is making a name for himself, especially with news he is branching out into acting.
