Corinne Bailey Rae added to Glastonbury bill
Gibson acoustic guitar player Corinne Bailey Rae has announced she will be performing at this year's Glastonbury festival.
Speaking to Lauren Laverne on BBC 6 Music, the solo artist revealed she was hoping to perform twice at the festival once on one of the main stages then somewhere else on the site in a "secret gig".
The acoustic guitar player and singer added that she was delighted her new album, The Sea, had received critical acclaim which compared her to Jeff Buckley and Marvin Gaye.
"It's just incredible that people would think that about the record," she said.
"I definitely tried to work more depth into this record. I wanted it to be heavier and have more layers."
Last month, Rae took charge of a new instrument a Gibson Robert Johnson L1 acoustic guitar which she posed with for the instrument maker's website in a series of publicity shots designed to promote her new album.Posted on 4 Feb 2010 14:48 to category : Band / Celebrity News
