Coldplay 'to release new album this year'
Keyboard player and songwriter Chris Martin has revealed that Coldplay are back in the studio with the intention of having a new album in the shops by the end of this year.
Speaking to Globo.com, Martin stated that he hopes the record will be out by Christmas.
"There's only two people in the whole building who know how to open all the recording files," he said.
"Even we don't know how to do it."
He added that the new album will not be the band's last with record label EMI, as Coldplay are contractually obliged to produce plenty more.
The group are one of the biggest brands in Britain, having enjoyed hits with records including Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and Viva La Vida.Posted on 23 Feb 2010 16:45 to category : Band / Celebrity News
