Cliff and The Shadows 'could reunite again'
Sir Cliff Richard could take to the stage with electric guitar legend Hank Marvin again after their farewell tour has ended.
The veteran singer is currently touring with The Shadows to mark 50 years in the music business.
Although the dates are being billed as the band's final tour, Sir Cliff has insisted that it does not mean they will never perform together again, as they may do occasional one-off gigs in the future.
"If there was a charity function or a festival somewhere, if the money was right, we would do it," he commented.
Cliff and The Shadows first rose to prominence in 1958 with Move It, before notching up a string of hits including The Young Ones and Living Doll.
Marvin's distinctive Fender Stratocaster tone also helped The Shadows achieve chart success with various instrumental records, such as FBI, Apache and The Rise and Fall of Flingel Bunt.
The band's world tour moves to Australia and New Zealand in February, before finishing off in South Africa during March.Posted on 1 Dec 2009 11:02 to category : Band / Celebrity News
