Chic star shares tips with aspiring stars

Chic's electric guitar player has encouraged aspiring musicians to find a partner that they trust completely.
According to Nile Rodgers, an artist needs to have somebody who can be brutally honest with them and say if a piece of work is either below par or needs a slight tweak.
Speaking to ClashMusic, he stated that having someone who can fulfil this role can be "invaluable" to a musician.
"They're doing it not out of ego but out of love," Rodgers commented.
He added that the other person does not have to be a band member or even a musician, just somebody that the artist trusts.
Rodgers said this individual would be able to "fill in the missing bits of your intellectual and artistic personality".
The guitarist made his name with hits such as Le Freak and Good Times, before going on to produce records such as David Bowie's Let's Dance, The Wild Boys by Duran Duran and Like a Virgin by Madonna.
