Chesney Hawkes to lead air guitar record attempt

Wannabe electric guitar players are to gather in Portsmouth later this month in an attempt to break a world record.
Thousands of music fans are expected to arrive in the city on January 16th to create the world's biggest-ever air guitar ensemble.
Pop star Chesney Hawkes will be participating in the world record attempt after organisers chose to let the air guitar players rock out to his hit The One and Only.
Speaking to the Portsmouth News, he said: "It's going to be massive and really good fun.
"I don't know why they picked The One and Only but I'm glad they did."
Fiona Wilson, campaign director at the New Theatre Royal, added that the air guitar record is a good one to try to break, as it does not involve bringing any equipment to take part.
The One and Only became a hit for Hawkes in February 1991 and remains his biggest hit single and signature song.
