Carlos Santana advises youngsters to learn several instruments

Electric guitar player Carlos Santana has advised youngsters to learn several musical instruments when they are young, before focusing on the one that they are most proficient on.
He explained to the Daily Mail that he began playing the violin at the age of five, as his father was a mariachi violinist.
Santana recalled: "He preferred me to play the violin - until he saw me play the guitar.
"I was able to achieve great sounds that I couldn't manage on his instrument."
He explained that he picked up his first guitar at the age of eight and has never looked back.
Santana said some of his guitar heroes include BB King, Buddy Guy and John McLaughlin.
The musician and his band are set to stage three gigs in the UK next month, playing dates in London, Manchester and Newcastle at the start of October.
They will then go on to perform in Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy and the Czech Republic.
