Cakewalk announces free updates for Sonar software

Cakewalk say that their release of Sonar 8.3 will be made available as a free download for registered users of Sonar 8 this month.
This update enhances Sonar's usability, with engine optimizations to keep the software running smoothly. In addition sample content from Roland for use in Dimension Pro and Dimension LE, and new kits for Session Drummer 2 will be included.
The update also tackles issues users have found with performance in Sonar 8. Snap presets, external inserts and optimized multiprocessor load balancing are just some of the improvements 8.3 will offer.
Bundled software Guitar Rig 3 LE and True Pianos Amber Module will also have updates included in this download.
The update will be made available on the Cakewalk website this February, working with Windows XP and native Vista (32-bit and 64-bit).
