Bruce Springsteen acoustic guitar sells for $160,000
The star, known for his hit records Born in the USA and Born to Run, managed to raise a whopping $160,000 (approximately £100,481) for the musical instrument.
But the lucky bidder didn't just get an acoustic guitar. Inspired by the escalating price, Springsteen tossed in a harmonica and then the shirt he was wearing.
The lucky bidder then announced he was gifting the musical instrument to one of the servicemen at the show in an act of generosity that touched everyone's hearts.
Springsteen was playing at the Stand Up for Heroes music show, which has been running for the last five years.
It was a performance that had the crowd jumping up and down and singing along to hits Land of Hope and Dreams, Open All Night and Spirit In the Night.
And there was more. The charismatic rockstar showed he still had a cheeky disposition with a few rude jokes that had the crowd in absolute stitches.
