British concerts for Rufus Wainwright
The consummate piano player, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist will also be popping to Brighton, Glasgow, Oxford, Bristol, Edinburgh, Nottingham and London for concerts.
Wainwright's back catalogue features such songs as Going to a Town, Poses and Beauty Mark. He also has a forthcoming LP in the pipeline called Out of the Game.
His last studio album was All Days are Nights, songs for Lulu, which featured several sung Shakespearean sonnets. Prior to that, a record called Release the Stars was itself released in 2007.
Kicking off on November 16th Wainwright's tour will see him take in ten towns in all. Fans will be able to grab a ticket for these gigs come April 20th.
Those who have yet to see Wainwright, son of Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Snowden Wainwright III, in the flesh can sample his performances with concert albums Milwaukee at Last!!! And Rufus Does Judy at Carnegie Hall.
