Brewery wants musical instruments for charity
A brewery in Edinburgh has appealed for people to donate their unused musical instruments to them so they can be passed on to charity.
The Rose Street Brewery is taking part in a new project called the Big Noise, which is asking for any instruments which can be donated to music therapy projects helping children, the Edinburgh Evening News reports.
Area manager at the brewery Andy Watkins said everyone was really excited about the project.
"Music is ideal for bringing communities together and this project will do exactly that. We hope all our customers will get behind the campaign and donate their music makers," he added.
Projects that will benefit from the scheme include Brainwave, which helps to provide support for youngsters suffering from cerebral palsy.
Laura Minnitt, senior physiotherapist at Brainwave, described the feeling of observing kids playing musical instruments as something "truly special", adding the scheme being put in place is a brilliant way of doing this.
