Boyzone's song torment
Posted on 22 Jan 2010 07:30 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Ronan Keating isn't sure if Boyzone will be able to perform some of their biggest hits ever again.
The Irish singer says the reformed group are still struggling to come to terms with the death of Stephen Gately and while they will continue, he admits it would be difficult to sing songs Stephen had the lead vocals in.
He said: "We have to decide what songs we sing, how we sing them and what we do as a four-piece, it's just bizarre. It doesn't make sense to us at the minute so we're just trying to figure it out, but we will go forward as best we can.
"Songs like 'No Matter What' and 'Love Me For A Reason' will never be the same again in a concert or a performance for me, so whether we continue to perform those songs, I don't know, I don't know if we can. It's really, really tough."
Ronan admits he and the rest of Boyzone - Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch - weren't sure of they would carry on following Stephen's death in October, but decided to make new album 'Brother' in tribute to him.
He told the Sydney Herald Sun: "We didn't know what we were going to do after he passed, whether we were going to make a record or whether we were going to survive and go on as a band, but in the weeks after Stephen passed we decided we wanted to make a record for him."
