Boyzone album on hold
Posted on 27 May 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

Ronan Keating's affair has forced the next Boyzone album to be put on hold.
The 33-year-old Irish singer - who separated from his wife of 12 years Yvonne, 36, last week following her discovery he had been cheating on her with a backing dancer - has reportedly been given time off to concentrate on his private life, meaning plans for the band to record a new LP have been postponed until 2011.
A source close to the band told the Daily Star newspaper: "Plans for the new Boyzone album at the end of the year have been shelved so that Ronan has time to concentrate on his private life.
"He's not in the right head space to think about recording, so unless he feels up to it there won't be another record before the 2011 arena tour."
With the band's most recent track 'Love is a Hurricane' only reaching number 44 in the UK singles chart, plans to release a third single from their 'Brother' album have also been axed.
However, the other members of Boyzone - Keith Duffy, 35, Shane Lynch, 33, and Mikey Graham, 37 - are backing Ronan as he attempts to get his personal life in order.
The source explained: "The rest of the band are fully supportive and have agreed they won't release any more singles. Time is what they need."
