Bowie and Reed had a 'scrap' in the seventies

Magazine claims Bowie and Reed came to blows after a gig.

Two of the biggest musicians of the twentieth century had a scrap back in the seventies when they were in their heyday, which will come as a surprise to many fans. David Bowie and Lou Reed, two very distinct and popular musicians, started to exchange blows one evening after Reed had come off stage at London Hammersmith Odeon at the Chelsea Rendezvous restaurant. Uncut's Bowie: The Ultimate Music Guide special edition magazine said that Reed started to punch Bowie while the pair were sharing dinner. Bowie of course responded in turn, but it was clear Reed was the aggressor. It allegedly took nine people to tear him off his friend. After the storm had died down, both artists reconciled only for Reed to once again flip and drag Bowie across the floor. His minders then wrestled him off Bowie and escorted him away. Paul Trynka, a Bowie biographer, recently claimed that he has "probably" retired from music. Speaking to Spinner, he said: "I think he would only come back if he thinks he could deliver something seismic. If you pop back into the stage, it's got to be something that has a big explosion and lots of flashes." Start Saving Money On Musical Instruments Now  ADNFCR-2133-ID-800723990-ADNFCR
