Boss VE-20 Vocal Processor Praised
Boss VE-20 Vocal Performer Vocal Effects Processor has been reviewed and praised in this months issue of play music magazine.
"This compact vocal effects processor offers vocalists hands-free control over a host of vocal effects".
Boss has got guitar effects just about covered but now the Japanese giant has turned its attention to vocalists.
"The VE-20 is a floor-based effects processor for vocalists that uses Boss twin pedal range as the basis for its rugged stage friendly design and not surprisingly being a boss product it conveys a reassuring feeling of durability from the word go".
Among the more unconventional sounding presets the VE-20 also includes several outlandish sounding effects including synthesized robot-type pitch shifted sound, chorus, flanging, tremolo and a scary distorted patch that sounds like the vocalist is screaming through a wall of marshall stacks cranked up to 11.
There are also several banks of pre-programmed harmonies that make a single voice sound absolutely huge by layering on harmonized intervals of fifth, thirds and even combinations of both.
"The VE-20 is a formidable vocal enhancing tool that can make any solo singer sound like Satan undergoing root-canal surgery without anesthetic, a choir of angels or even swingle swingers in full flight".
Overall "There is absolutely no reason why any vocalist wouldn't benefit from the VE-20."
