Bookies tip Rolling Stones to headline Glastonbury
Posted on 5 Oct 2009 17:36 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Electric guitar bands are being heavily tipped to headline next year's Glastonbury Festival, with the Rolling Stones currently installed as the bookies' favourites.
William Hill has put 4/1 odds on Mick, Keith and the boys appearing at the legendary event in Somerset in 2010.
Meanwhile, the bookmaker is offering 4/1 odds on Coldplay headlining the festival and 10/1 on Muse.
Other noted electric guitar bands such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kings of Leon and U2 are also in the running, while Oasis are rank outsiders at 33/1.
The Manchester band Oasis were recently rocked by the departure of electric guitar player Noel Gallagher and their future remains unclear.
Rupert Adams, spokesman for William Hill, commented: "We have lost a few quid on the headline act for two years running and it will be interesting to see if punters get it right again."
Robbie Williams, who is currently promoting his comeback album, has also been named as a possible headline act, along with Take That, David Bowie and Elton John.
No big names for the event have yet been officially announced, although tickets sold out within 24 hours of going on sale.
