Bon Jovi to play O2 residency
The O2 Arena will be reverberating to classic electric guitar riffs such as Living on a Prayer next year when Bon Jovi play a residency at the venue.
Acts such as Prince and Britney Spears have already enjoyed extended stints at the O2, while Michael Jackson was scheduled to perform 50 dates there before his untimely death earlier this year.
Bon Jovi were the first band to perform at the O2 Arena in 2007 and will follow this up with an as-yet undisclosed number of gigs at the venue as part of their upcoming world tour.
Fans can expect to hear many of the band's classic hits, such as It's My Life and Keep the Faith, alongside material from their upcoming album The Circle.
Rob Hallet of promoter AEG Live commented: "Bon Jovi are the best live band in the world.
"This one could run and run."
The announcement comes shortly after former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney confirmed that he would be appearing at the O2 Arena in December - his only UK gig on a seven-date European tour.Posted on 23 Oct 2009 15:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
