Bon Iver: Winning Grammy Awards was awkward
Posted on 17 Feb 2012 16:50 to category : Band / Celebrity News

Iver, who considers himself to be an artist who makes music for himself to engage with the world and deal with issues he's interested in, told Spin magazine although he had more fun than he thought he would, there was still some unease to be part of the establishment.
"Plenty of things proved my concerns, like people just not playing music," he said.
"Chris Brown was pure playback. A few other people were just playback. And that's hard to swallow. There were only ten awards given last night. Overall, it is what it is and I had a good time, and now that's it over I realize that I got pretty bent out of shape about it."
He added that he did feel proud to win, after all, any sort of recognition for your artistic output is great, but he still finds the whole thing flawed.
"Getting an award for music? Like I said in the speech, I was uncomfortable," he told the online news provider.
The singer-songwriter has produced two studio albums: For Emma, Forever Ago and the self-titled follow up Bon Iver.
