Bob Dylan unveils Christmas album
Bob Dylan famously stunned many of his fans in 1965 by brandishing an electric guitar and rocking out, and more than 40 years later has lost none of his capacity to surprise.
The legendary singer-songwriter has just unveiled a new festive record called Christmas In The Heart, which features his renditions of yuletide standards such as O Little Town Of Bethlehem and Hark The Herald Angels Sing.
This is Dylan's second album of the year, as he released the hit record Together Through Life only six months ago.
His sudden change of direction has been met with a mixed response from the press, with the Telegraph describing Christmas In The Heart as the oddest record in Dylan's extensive catalogue.
"Here is a man who transformed pop culture suddenly revealing a hitherto unsuspected taste in Christmas kitsch," it commented.
Meanwhile, the Sun has warned that his "comic raspy voice" could scare children and get adults laughing.
