Blur perform new song
Posted on 20 Feb 2012 10:00 to category : Instruments News

The song, which is entitled Under The Westway, is piano-led, hinting at the strong possibility that this musical instrument could feature prominently in any future recordings.
"We wrote this up the road a few weeks ago. It's got a lot of words," Albarn said.
"Not as many as Ed Sheeran's, but it's got a lot of words."
Albarn and Coxon, who complemented the song with a guitar, revealed the new song an unsuspecting public at a benefit concert at Shepherd's Bush Empire for the charity War Child.
Blur will receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music at the Brit Awards tomorrow (February 21st), 21 years after they first released their debut studio album Leisure.
"Being in a band this long is like a kind of time travel," Coxon said.
"We're the same gang we ever were, we've just landed in a different era. Or possibly we're a totally different Blur still playing the old tunes in 1991… forever. I haven't decided. But it's always nice to get a Brit Award."
