Blur 'may record more songs'
After the success of their one-off track for Record Store Day last month, singer Damon Albarn has said Blur will once again dust off their electric guitars to pen more songs.
Last month, the indie four-piece released Fool's Day, their first single in seven years, as a seven inch vinyl to promote the initiative, which aimed to encourage more people to use independent music shops.
Speaking to NME, Albarn said: "I'm definitely going to do a few more of those seven-inches. I love the no pressure aspect."
But the electric guitar player went on to explain there is no album in the pipeline in the foreseeable future, as he is very busy with his other group Gorillaz.
Last week, Dave Rowntree, the man behind the drum kit in the band, failed in his bid to become an MP.
Rowntree had been standing as a Labour Party candidate for the constituency of the Cities of London and Westminster.Posted on 11 May 2010 18:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
