Blur gigs on BBC music radio
The famed music instrument playing group behind hits like Country House and Beetlebum will be playing sets for both stations on July 31st, the BBC has announced.
First up, they'll talk with Steve Lamacq and put in a performance for 6 Music, with things kicking off at 4pm. Radio 2 will then pick things up come 8pm, and broadcast the group playing a gig.
"This year marks a huge milestone for Blur as a band. The contribution they have made to the history of British music cannot be underestimated. Their live performances are truly fantastic and I can't wait to hear them perform on both BBC Radio 6 Music and BBC Radio 2," 6 Music and Radio 2's Jeff Smith has said.
Anyone who fancies taking-in the music instrument action can try and get themselves complimentary tickets to see it.
If they're interested in the Radio 2 event, they should wait for Jo Whiley to reveal information on how to do this, which she'll being doing on-air this coming Monday.
The 6 Music website, meanwhile, is that place to go if the 6 Music event is what you want to see.Posted on 13 Jul 2012 20:50 to category : Band / Celebrity News
