Blink 182 working on 'expansive' new album
Bass guitar player Mark Hoppus has said Blink 182's next album promises to have an "expansive" feel.
He told MTV News that the group have been through a lot in the last few years and this will be partly reflected in the sound of the record.
Hoppus said Blink have finished around three or four songs but are still at the early stage of the writing process for the rest of the LP.
"There's stuff that sounds like what we were doing on the last Blink record and there's stuff that sounds like what we were doing 10 years ago and stuff that we've never done before," the bass guitar player explained.
He added that he is really enjoying being back in the studio with the rest of the band and is looking forward to getting the album out to the public so they can hear the results of the recording sessions.
The band are set to embark on a summer tour of the UK in 2011, with a host of arena dates planned for July.
Blink will perform in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Cardiff and London during the run of shows.
