Blink 182 'planning spring 2011 release for next record'
Fender bass guitar player Mark Hoppus has revealed Blink 182 are looking to release their next album in April or May 2011.
Writing on his Bompa blog, the bassist explained the group have been working hard in the studio, meaning a spring launch for the record is a definite possibility.
But he added the band are willing to push this back if it means they can bring out a better LP.
Hoppus said he is feeling excited about the quality of the tracks so far, even though there is plenty to do before they are ready for public consumption.
"Already it seems like the songs are both taking a step even further than we took on the last album, while also going back to the sound of some of the earlier albums," the bass guitar player stated.
Blink 182 are set for a short tour of England next July, with arena dates lined up for Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Birmingham and London.
