Bling guitar to go on sale
The Fender guitar, which is estimated to cost $90,000 (approximately £57,053), will go on sale in Singapore.
What makes it one of the most expensive guitars in the world today is the fact that it is emblazoned with lots of rich stones – diamonds, emeralds, blue topaz, citrine and peridot.
According to Israeli Diamond, the handmade guitar's strings are also luxurious as they have been crafted from silver and rose gold.
Aryadni Balfaghi, of Swan Lee Music Company, which won the bid to bring the instrument to Singapore, told Channel News Asia that the instrument had caught the eye of many people.
"Usually those who purchase such guitars would be collectors and hobbyists and we have buyers, of course, from Singapore, and Southeast Asia," he said.
"Some of the buyers are from the Brunei royalties, Malaysian royalties, and some international celebrities as well."
In related news, Kim Webber, a luthier, modified a Gibson Les Paul deluxe by adding diamonds to it. It is estimated to be worth £10,000.
