Blind piano prodigy is miles ahead and she's still only 8
Ying-Shan Tseng, whose skills on the music instrument are testament to the adage that some people are simply "born to do it", has dumfounded experts with the speed withwhich she has mastered the instrument.
The precocious youngster started playing the piano at the age of three, and obvious comparisons have already been made to the classical genius Mozart.
Unlike sighted musicians, who are able to read music and play simultaneously, Ying-Shan actually has to remember whole pieces in their entirety, which she learns through braille.
Her piano teacher: Elize Weldhagan said: "I cannot imagine where she stores all that information.
"In the first month she could do little songs that other kids can do after three or four months. She's absolutely amazing."
Last year she was named top junior instrumentalist in the five to 15-year-old age group at the South African Championship for Performing Arts.
