Black Sabbath to pocket £100 million
The English heavy metal rock band will pocket the cash from their sales of a new album, which will be produced by the legendary producer Rick Rubin, and a worldwide tour next year.
All four original members of the band have returned after a five-year hiatus. The last time they released a studio album together was 33 years ago.
Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward gathered last week at a press conference in LA to unveil the news
Iommi said: "It's now or never. We are getting along great. Everything's really good. It's like putting on an old glove. It's fantastic."
Black Sabbath released their eponymous debut album back in 1970, which catapulted them to international stardom.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame said: "Black Sabbath is credited with creating heavy metal. The success of their first two albums marked a paradigm shift in the world of rock."
