Bill Ward: Give me a proper contract
Posted on 3 Feb 2012 10:11 to category : Instruments News

Bill Ward, who is known for his spectacular skills behind a drum kit, took to the online world to vent his anger over contract issues for their new studio album.
Writing on Facebook, Ward explained that unless a decent arrangement is made, he will simply not pick up his drum sticks.
"I am unable to continue unless a 'signable' contract is drawn up; a contract that reflects some dignity and respect towards me as an original member of the band," he said.
"Several days ago, after nearly a year of trying to negotiate, another "unsignable" contract was handed to me... The place I'm in feels lousy and lonely because as much as I want to play and participate, I also have to stand for something and not sign on.
He added that if he signed the contract as it is he would lose his rights, his dignity and respect as a rock musician.
"I believe in freedom and freedom of speech," the drummer concluded.
Black Sabbath announced late last year that they were reuniting in their original form to record their first proper record in 33 years.
Rick Rubin will mastermind the production of the record.
