Big Noise charity initiative makes use of unwanted music instruments

The Big Noise charity initiative makes use of unwanted music instruments by re-gifting them to those who can benefit from their reuse.
Great deals on musical instruments

The Big Noise charity initiative is bringing together children from all over the world to make a big noise on World Music Day with unwanted music instruments.

People have donated all sorts of music instruments from violins to tambourines to saxophones and even grand pianos, reported Eat Out Magazine.

The instruments are then re-gifted in the UK and abroad to assist music therapy projects in the invaluable work they do.

To celebrate the success of this initiative, children from all over the world will take part in event on June 21st 2011.

The "brainchild" of the Orchid group, a hospitality company, it has reported that its pubs have been exceptionally busy with collecting unwanted music instruments.

Tarah Cunynghame, marketing manager at the Orchid group, told the magazine: "We're very grateful to everyone who has donated instruments so far and can't wait to see all the little ones making some noise on World Music Day.

"Not only will it be great fun but really educational too, as the children involved will be able to learn about music all across the globe."

World Music Day, which is also known as Fete de la Musique, first took place in the UK. It was, however, first initiated by France.
