Biffy Clyro 'made Squier signature guitars affordable for fans'
Posted on 13 Apr 2010 10:00 to category : Music News

Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro have explained the motivation behind their two new signature guitars the Squier by Fender Simon Neil Stratocaster and the Squier by Fender James Johnston Jazz Bass.
Speaking to Guitar Buyer magazine, frontman Simon Neil explained that the band had never envisioned becoming a big enough group to merit having their own signature guitars.
He added the group were honoured that they had been given the chance and explained they wanted to make their Fender models affordable to their legions of fans.
"For around £300 my signature model really stands up to my Relics, which are, I guess, a few grand," Neil said, in comments reported on the Fender website.
"I think everyone who's tried the guitar out or tested it has been pleasantly surprised."
Biffy Clyro are set to play the Reading and Leeds festivals this summer and are third on the bill on the Main Stage.
They will be playing just before Queens of the Stone Age and Guns N' Roses.
