Biffy Clyro and The Wombats confirmed for Wakestock 2011
Electric guitar band Biffy Clyro have been announced as one of the headline acts for this year's Wakestock festival.
The bash, which is set to take place between July 8th and 10th 2011 at Cardigan Bay in Wales, will also feature performances from the likes of The Wombats, Ellie Goulding and Example.
Festival organisers said those who buy tickets for the event will soon hear which other artists will be performing at Wakestock 2011.
"There will be loads more announcements over the coming weeks including more big name bands and DJs joining the line-up, and a whole host of big-name riders coming over to the UK to compete in the wakeboarding competition," an official statement explained.
A key part of the event is its focus on wakeboarding, an action sport which is enjoyed by more than three million people across the world.
The majority of participants in the activity, which is a cross between waterskiing, surfing and snowboarding, are under the age of 24.
