Biffy Clyro, Beady Eye and Tinie Tempah to play for Teenage Cancer Trust
The line-up for this year's Teenage Cancer Trust gigs at the Royal Albert Hall has been announced, with electric guitar band Biffy Clyro, chart-topper Tinie Tempah and Liam's Gallagher's new outfit Beady Eye all on the bill.
A number of concerts will take place next month to raise money for the charity, with the first night on March 21st being dedicated to comedy and featuring turns from the likes of John Bishop and Kevin Bridges.
Musicians will then take over the venue, with performances coming from acts such as Squeeze, The Feeling and Editors.
Teenage Cancer Trust patron Roger Daltrey will also play live, performing The Who's classic album Tommy, as well as a selection of their other hits.
"These gigs have raised nearly £10 million in ten years and they make a real difference to the lives of thousands of young people with cancer," Daltry explained.
"We've had both legends and rising stars play for Teenage Cancer Trust over the years and 2011 is no different."
In 2010, the initiative was backed by the likes of former Oasis star Noel Gallagher, ska legends The Specials, electric guitar group Them Crooked Vultures and indie stars Arctic Monkeys.
