Posted on 26 Jan 2010 16:45 to category : Instruments News

Bids for the Fender Stratocasterguitar used by Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner in the video for I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor have reached £3,000.
Turner donated the Fender Stratocaster to Oxfam, which is auctioning off the piece of music memorabilia to raise money for the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti.
There are still five days of bidding remaining with the auction due to close on the morning of February 1st 2010.
However, 44 bids for the Fender Stratocaster have been received so far on internet auction site eBay.
Several other musicians have also provided items to auction for Oxfam's appeal.
Chris Martin, the lead singer from Coldplay, has donated his Viva La Vida tour jacket for the auction, which has been signed by all the members of his band.
Bids on that item have reached £6,600.
Meanwhile, a Rolanddrum machine donated by My Chemical Romance is currently going for £640.
