Belcat guitar effects pedals hailed in recent review
Posted on 27th Jan 2010 08:16 to category Instruments News
Belcat guitar effects pedals have been making a name for themselves as well built and superb sounding effects, at very competitive prices, since their introduction to the UK market in June 2009.
This month Guitar and Bass magazine have published reviews of three of the pedals and the power supply unit the PST-10 - each of them receiving much praise.
The DLY-503 Analog Delay Pedal received an outstanding review being compared to the infamous Roland RE-301 Space Echo unit - a "highly convincing analogue tape emulator".
The PST-10 Power Station offers eight 6v DC outputs plus two extra with variable voltage, and scored a massive 91 per cent in the review.
The complete lack of hum or noise impressed the reviewer, leading him to conclude "it works and it works very well".
The variety of features on the TRM-507 Tremolo Pedal really stood out, "the Belcat's Wave control is a real bonus can cover just about any tremolo sound and feel that you need".
Compared to a "Marshall that's just beginning to grumble", the DST-501 Distortion is praised for its fierce sound, "ace for old school metal and hard rock power chords".
The Belcat pedal range really stands out in the crowd of budget guitar effects with solid metal bodies, solid controls and deep tones.
For Guitar and Bass magazine, if you put any of the Belcat gear next "to boutique boxes
they wouldn't sound out place".
