The Belcat Tube-20R has scored an impressive 4/5 stars this month within a review by Guitar Buyer Magazine.
The Tube-20R is a 20-watt single channel valve combo amplifier with a footswitchable gain boost.
At such a low price, this amp offers fantastic value for money, with reliability, good build quality, and an impressive set of components found inside.
The first things to impress the reviewer from Guitar Buyer Magazine were the spring reverb tank and the Celestion Super 65 12-inch speaker housed inside a "solidly constructed" cabinet.
The main controls on this amp come in the form of chicken-head knobs for gain, treble, middle, bass, master volume and reverb as well as a small push button that activates the amp's gain boost.
Whilst looking at the tones available, Guitar Buyer Magazine's reviewer commented: "There is plenty of scope in the gain department, from clean sounds to tweedy crunch, and the boost switch takes the whole thing 'over the top' in the same way a decent overdrive pedal would."
The Belcat Tube-20R is perfect for any guitarist looking for their first valve amplifier.
Within their summary, Guitar Buyer Magazine's reviewer wrote: "If you're looking for a small combo with plenty of poke, we're happy to report that the Belcat Tube-20R punches well above its weight."
