Beatles fans to come together for anniversary
Posted on 21 Jul 2009 14:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
Beatles fans are set to recreate one of the most famous album covers of all time to mark the 40th anniversary of the picture being taken.

One of the images was used on the cover of what became The Beatles' final album, which they appropriately called Abbey Road.
Fans of the Liverpool band are expected to mark the 40th anniversary of this iconic image by gathering at the zebra crossing at the exact time of day that John, Paul, George and Ringo posed for their photographs.
Richard Porter, owner of the Beatles Coffee Shop and the organiser of the event, told the Evening Standard: "We are expecting this year to be bigger than the 30th anniversary because there is so much Beatles stuff going on this year."
Indeed, the Fab Four's albums have been remastered and are set for release in September.
The Abbey Road cover quickly became one of the most iconic and imitated album covers of all time following the album's release in 1969.
Paul McCartney, who played bass guitar in The Beatles, has himself parodied the image on the sleeve of his Paul Is Live LP.
