Beady Eye make Isle of Wight debut
Beady Eye performed the debut Isle of Wight Festival last night as fans flocked to the gig despite the heavy rain.
It was also the first time that Liam Gallagher was playing at the festival. Although it was notable for the absence of his tambourine, the singer more than made up for it by wearing a jacket emblazoned with the union jack flag.
As he took the stage, the former Oasis frontman showed his "dry" sense of humour by reassuring rain-soaked fans that they still looked "pretty good".
Much to their fans delight, Beady Eye played an extensive set, with hit songs including Beatles Stones, Millionaire, Sons of the Stage, and Standing on the Edge of the Noise.
Despite the heavy showers, up to 75,000 music fans attended the festival to see some of the biggest bands in music like the Foo Fighters, Kings of Leon, The Vaccines, Kaiser Chiefs and Kasabian, who wrapped up the event with an exciting explosion of music.
Beady Eye formed in 2009. Bring the Light, a promotional song, marked their first "official release" and came out as a free download in November 2010.
