Indie band Beady Eye and electric guitar player Paul Weller are among the acts who will be performing at a special charity gig next month.

The Coral, Richard Ashcroft and Graham Coxon will also be playing at a show in aid of the British Red Cross Tsunami Appeal.

It is to take place at the Brixton Academy on April 3rd to raise funds following the disaster in Japan that left more than 9,000 people dead, with more than 12,000 still missing, reports BBC Newsbeat.

Tickets for the benefit gig go on sale this Friday (March 25th), with buyers limited to a maximum of four per person.

Since the earthquake struck off the coast of Japan on March 11th, causing the tsunami that devastated large areas of the country, the Japanese Red Cross has been working on the ground, providing first aid and healthcare to those affected.

Many people in the nation are currently living in evacuation centres as 14,000 homes were destroyed by the event, with approximately 100,000 suffering damage.

The British Red Cross has said the cost of the relief effort, along with rebuilding the lives and properties of those affected, is expected to be "immense".
