Bass guitar parts restored to Who's live concert recording
A live concert recording by The Who has been restored to its complete state with the addition of missing bass guitar parts.
The band's performance at the Hull City Hall was originally going to be released as an album 40 years ago, until it appeared that the sound of John Entwistle's bass was missing from the recording.
As a result, their performance at the previous night's show was used - resulting in the seminal Live at Leeds record.
A special 40th anniversary edition of the album is being put out, with the complete Hull gig part of the package.
The bass guitar lines have been added using modern technology to the first four songs after the rest of the set was discovered to still feature Entwistle.
Roger Daltrey said: "Hull was a better gig than Leeds.
"I remember it like it was yesterday, although in retrospect Live At Hull doesn't really trip off the tongue!"
Live at Leeds is widely considered to be the best live rock album ever recorded.
