Barack Obama belts out the blues
Barack Obama was introducing some live music involving the two stars at a fundraiser at The White House when he was challenged to pick up a microphone and show the crowds what he was made of.
As soon as he started to sing Sweet Old Chicago, the audience went wild.
Showing a flair for musical performance, he passed the mic to BB King who was strumming away on the guitar, before belting out another line from the classic tune.
Music seems to be an increasing part of Obama's public image as last month he sang the opening line to the hit song Let's Stay Together, which was originally released by Al Green in 1972.
"Those guys didn't think I would do it," Obama told audience members at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem.
"I told you I was gonna do it!"
Then, looking towards Green, who had just finished a song moments earlier, added: "Don't worry Rev, I cannot sing like you, but I just wanted to show my appreciation."
