Bands 'need the right amps' for a good rehearsal
Bands need to be looking to use amps and a PA system that offer just the right level of volume in order to have a good rehearsal.
Similarly, vocals need to "be heard just a little over the amps and drums" and the PA system needs to be set up accordingly.
The tips were offered in the latest installment of Gibson's Back to Basics series, which this week focused on band practice.
Finding a place to rehearse where it is unlikely that anybody will be disturbed was also listed an "essential" recommendation.
At the end of last month, Rhythm Magazine suggested that bands struggling for inspiration in practice should experiment by taking familiar songs and playing them at different speeds or in different styles.Posted on 21 May 2009 15:06 to category : Instruments News
