Bagpipe band set for Scottish dates following world tour

A Scottish bagpipe band has announced concert dates in their homeland.
Great deals on musical instruments

Bagpipe fans living in Scotland - the homeland of the ancient musical instruments - will be treated to a string of Red Hot Chilli Pipers concerts.

The band, which shot to fame three years ago on the TV show When Will I Be Famous? with its musical bagpipes sound, will perform in Stirling, Aberdeen, Fort William and Inverness, the Press and Journal reports.

Member Kevin MacDonald told the publication: "By the end of 2010, we will have spent ten weeks touring Germany, playing to sell-out audiences... [But] we never take our success for granted."

On top of touring, the band has also recorded new material, including a bagpipes version of Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol and AC/DC's Long Way to the Top.

Prior to competing on and winning the talent show that launched them into the public sphere, Red Hot Chili Pipers performed on the main stage at T in the Park in 2004 with The Darkness.
