Bad Company announce reunion tour
Posted on 18th Nov 2009 15:00 to category Band / Celebrity News
Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers is to reunite with electric guitar player Mick Ralphs and drummer Simon Kirke for a UK tour.
The band achieved considerable success in the 1970s with rock classics such as Can't Get Enough, Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy, Feel Like Makin' Love and Shooting Star.
They will perform eight gigs in the UK in April, kicking off in Birmingham before calling at cities such as Manchester, Sheffield and London.
Rodgers, who previously played with Kirke in seminal rock band Free, said Bad Company are keen to thank the fans for "keeping the music alive" over the years.
Ralphs added: "It's great to be with Paul and Simon.
"We made great music together and had the time of our lives doing it."
Rodgers is widely regarded as one of the world's best rock vocalists and recently collaborated with Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen, undertaking two world tours and releasing a studio album.
Following his departure from Bad Company in the 1980s, Rodgers co-founded The Firm with Led Zeppelin's electric guitar player Jimmy Page.
