BBC to Broadcast 'Women in Music' Woman's Hour Special

To coincide with the John Peel Lecture, an annual discussion of topics and problems relating to the music industry, Radio 4 will be broadcasting a Weekend Women's Hour special, dedicated to the theme of women in music.

The show will be hosted by Lauren Laverne and feature insights from music journalists, industry professionals and performances from leading female artists, as well as hearing from this year's Peel lecturer.

The third annual John Peel lecture will this year be delivered on 14th October by Charlotte Church, who will be discussing the role of women in the industry. Past lecturers have included Billy Bragg and Pete Townshend.

You can hear the programme on Saturday 12th October at 4pm.
