Ashdown Powering Summer Music Festivals
Leading bass amplifier manufacturer Ashdown has been blazing a trail across summer music stages, helping Foo Fighters, U2, System of a Down and many more get killer tone.
Glastonbury festival, one of the most recognisable names in music worldwide, hosted over 170,000 attendees this year.
Ashdown are claiming responsibility for helping make the ?earth move? this year with their bass amps being used by a huge number of artists, including headliners U2 and buzz band Everything Everything.
Download, the king of rock and metal festivals, at Donnington park was a special show for Ashdown.
Brian Marshall of Alter Bridge took to the stage with his beefy Ashdown rig, comprised of 2 x 810s and 2 x 115s powered by ABM-900s.
Saturday saw Ashdown favourites System of a Down play their first UK show in 6 years, steaming through a huge 27 song set list.
Though not strictly a festival, Foo Fighters show with Biffy Clyro and Death Cab for Cutie at Milton Keynes Bowl attracted 130,000 fans.
Ashdown, and partner guitar amp maker Hayden, were there to power the huge sound needed.
The Foo?s Nate Mendel used his new BTA 400 rig to provide a killer bass sound, and Biffy did not disappoint with the boys sporting a classic Ashdown and Hayden line-up.Posted on 6 Jul 2011 12:49 to category : Instruments News
