Arctic Monkeys to tour with musical instruments in 2011
Electric guitar band Arctic Monkeys are set to tour the UK later in 2011 in support of their fourth album Suck It And See.
This is according to drummer Matt Helders, who said as well as a headline series of concerts, there might be a few warm-up shows.
Speaking on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show, he said they will "try and get a few sneaky ones in, yeah. I don't think it's been nailed on [yet though]".
The lead single from the Sheffield band will be Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair, which is being released online, as well as a white-label seven-inch vinyl on Record Store Day (April 16th).
They are already scheduled to play two massive gigs in the Sheffield at the Don Valley Bowl and after that, they will be taking their musical instruments out on the road at V Festival.
Suck It And See is released on June 6th and follows on from Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not, Favourite Worst Nightmare and Humbug.
All three of the group's previous efforts have been critically acclaimed and it remains it be seen what kind of reception this long player will get.
