Arctic Monkeys to headline T in The Park
Arctic Monkeys will be strapping on their electric guitars soon as they have been announced as one of the headliners at this year's T in The Park festival.
The band, who are currently in the studio recording their fourth album in the US, previously topped the bill in 2007 and they join Coldplay and Foo Fighters as the big act on each of three nights.
Taking place from July 8th to the 10th, tickets for the event go on sale on Friday (February 25th).
Festival director Geoff Ellis is delighted with the line-up he has been able to put together.
"I'm really pleased with our artist announcements and proud to deliver a whole host of bands, including many that T in The Park fans told us they wanted to see when we surveyed them post-event," he added.
Mr Ellis observed he is looking forward to this year's instalment of the festival and cannot wait to see things kick off.
Other acts that will be appearing on the bill include Pulp, Blink 182, Plan B, Pendulum, Brandon Flowers and Manic Street Preachers.
The T in The Park event has been running since 1994.
